ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Notes on Nathan Fillion, Molly Quinn, more

Are you ready for season 6 production of “Castle” to start? We hope so, since we are starting to get very close to the date in which everyone is looking forward to: Tuesday, July 9. Previously reports had this as the day when the gears really get going on the set, and given that we already know that scripts are in the works and have been for some time, it certainly feels about right.

While we’ll have some more news about this soon, for now we’re going to focus on some things happening this summer, beginning with Comic-Con! Yes, the sad news is that there will once again be no “Castle” panel this year, and we still do not understand why in many ways given that you do have both Nathan Fillion and Molly Quinn on your show. The good news is that Quinn has confirmed that she will be doing both Course of the Force and be at the convention itself, sporting a variety of costumes.

Quinn seemed to be one of the cast members who enjoyed the season 5 episode “The Final Frontier” the most, and you are probably rather pleased already to know that there will be a commentary for this episode when the season 5 DVD hits stores on September 10. Among the folks taking part are Fillion, director Jonathan Frakes (who really was the perfect person for this episode), and also costume designer Luke Reichle (who surely had a blast thinking up all of the fake superheroes and anime characters to show off here). If this isn’t a reason to pick up the DVD, we don’t know what is.
