Jimmy Kimmel, Miranda Cosgrove talk frat parties and ‘iCarly’ (video)
When it comes to the world of late-night comedy, there is little questioning that we are right smack in the middle of what is a pretty quiet week. The vast majority of shows chose to take a little bit of time off for the Fourth of July holiday, and who knows? Maybe Jimmy Kimmel took this as an opportunity to get some more ratings on his show. No matter the reason, the comedian had an chance to have a sit-down chat with Miranda Cosgrove to promote “Despicable Me 2,” and there were some rather interesting things that came out of the discussion.
First of all, we learned a little bit about what the frat party system is like at the University of Southern California (where Cosgrove is going to school), and as it turns out, this is really very much like the frat party system pretty much everywhere else. There is a sorority row, and a good many people doing very embarrassing things to themselves that they will surely regret later. (Also, there is nothing worse than being recognized for a show by someone who is drunk; Miranda confirmed this, and we have went through this experience ourselves.)
Our personal favorite moment of this entire interview, though, came when Kimmel chose to show Cosgrove a “gift” of sorts that one of her fans decided to make for her. We don’t know why this fan chose to wear no shirt while bemoaning the loss of “iCarly” with a giant sign, but it happened. Now, you have to wash this from your brain to the best of your ability.
