In just a handful of days we are going to have a chance to see The Pitt season 2 episode 8 arrive over on HBO Max — so what all can we say about it in its totality?
Well, first and foremost, let’s begin here by looking at some of what we saw at the end of episode 7. Namely, the oh-so-simple fact that all of the IT systems at the hospital are shut down for the immediate future. This could send the entire ER into chaos, but that’s without even mentioning what is going on with the staff. Given that Dana is still taking care of Ilana at the end of episode 7, is she still going to be with her? What does that mean for the rest of the nurses?

In the wake of an IT shutdown, Princess must manage a completely analog ER. Al-Hashimi, Mohan, and King assess a woman with sudden blindness.
Does the latter story mean that Mel is finally going to be getting a big storyline other than the deposition? We hope so, largely due to the fact that she’s been stuck dealing with that front and center for the bulk of the story. Wouldn’t it be nice to see her have something different for a change? (Then again, you can also argue that the deposition is actually coming before too long, meaning that she is not going to be forced to wait that long to get a meaty story at all.)
