Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2: Kurt Russell on new threat

The premiere of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 is right around the corner, so is there anything more to say here about what is to come?
Well, if you saw the key art for the new season already (see above), then you know that a new monster is coming into the picture. Meanwhile, this is the same creature seemingly that is visible in the trailer. Sure, we’ve seen some of these characters deal with Godzilla already, and King Kong made an appearance at the end of season 1. So could this be even more dangerous? That is at least possible, based at least on what we are hearing from star Kurt Russell.

To get some more insight now all about what is to come, be sure to check out some of the actor’s comments to MovieWeb:
“I think primarily he’s someone who’s trying to see the point of view that especially Keiko has… as Alice went down the rabbit hole in the first year, in the second year, [Keiko] comes out, and he’s able to come back. And with them comes this thing that’s even worse than Kong, or looks and appears to be worse than Kong and Godzilla. I think he’s learning, along with them, what he can, which is there are some things about this stuff we need to try to discover. But I think he hangs on to the fact that, in the meantime, we have to survive. So I think while he’s learned something, he’s also teaching something to a further degree, which is none of this is going to make any difference if we’re all dead.”
Ultimately, this creature could end up being a mystery that unfolds over time, and we certainly think that the show is more than okay to be patient when it comes to some of this stuff. Personally, we just hope for plenty of adventure — with of course some epic monster battles around the way.
