Wednesday season 3 spoilers: Winona Ryder cast as Tabitha

For everyone out there who has been eager to get more news regarding Wednesday season 3, we have it for you within!

Today, the folks over at Netflix officially confirmed that Winona Ryder has joined the cast of the Jenna Ortega series for the upcoming batch of episodes, where she will be playing the role of Tabitha. Unfortunately, there is not too much known out there about the role beyond that. Given how Wednesday can be incredibly secretive about roles when they want to be, we cannot be altogether shocked that something like this happened.

For those who have not heard the news as of yet, filming for Wednesday season 3 has already kicked off and by virtue of that, it is our hope that we are going to be getting a little bit more news about it within the relatively near future — even if it is just some photos or behind-the-scenes information. Beyond Ryder (who worked with Jenna Ortega before on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice), the other prominent new cast member here is Eva Green, who is playing the part of Ophelia. Her role was set up in a pretty clear manner at the end of season 2.

As great as all of this is at present, the reality here remains that we are going to be waiting a long time in order to see the show back on the air. Our general feeling here is that in between filming and post-production, we are going to be stuck waiting until we get around to at least the spring or summer of next year. If nothing else, take some solace in fact that there will be slightly less of a wait between seasons here than what we got between seasons 1 and 2.
