Fallout season 4 renewal: Is it likely to happen?

We are at this point pretty well-aware of the fact that there is no official Fallout season 4 renewal over at Prime Video. Heck, it may seem premature to even think about it! Filming for the video-game adaptation’s third season is not set to kick off until we get around to later in the spring, meaning that there is a lot time for Amazon to consider the future.
With all of that being said, though, we do think it is easy to come out now and say with the utmost confidence that there is a lot more good stuff coming.

First and foremost, consider a number of comments from producers suggesting that they have lined out a plan behind the scenes that suggests we could have a few more seasons, at least, of the show before it concludes. They seem to be in no real rush to give answers on any particular story. Instead, they have exhibited a level of patience that makes us feel like they’ve had a lot of conversations about the long-term already.
Now, also remember this: The earlier that Prime Video renews Fallout, the more that they can legitimately plan whatever they want the future to be. This is why we are so confident that we will be hearing about a renewal before at least season 3 premieres, even if this is not for more than a year. That allows the writers to get to work early, and also ensures that the series can continue to move forward on what is, at least all things considered, a pretty fast production cycle for a show if this scale. What the Walton Goggins show has managed to do in eighteen months is akin to what a lot of other series do in two / two and a half years.
