Tell Me Lies season 3 episode 8 (finale): Jackson White talks ending
At this point, we recognize that we are a mere matter of days removed from the Tell Me Lies season 3 finale, answers on everything with these characters. Where will the story end with Lucy, Stephen, and almost every other character? Is there a chance at comeuppance — or, for at least some people to be happy?
Ultimately, what happy even looks like for characters like this is complicated in its own right, mostly because so much of the story here is grounded in varying layers of toxicity. The only thing that is somewhat-clear is that the finale will offer up closure — at least however much is interpreted here. Just remember all the quotes from showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer and others suggesting that this could very well be the series finale.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Jackson White (who plays Stephen) does his part to explain just what the final chapter of the story could look like:
“I think it’s just appropriate, it’s in line with everything being set up. That could even be too much of a spoiler but it’s correct, it’s the correct ending and that’s what I knew immediately when reading it. I thought ‘this is the correct way to end this season absolutely’.”
What we do think could make the Tell Me Lies finale all the more interesting is the idea that the producers have to nail a couple of different things. You do want there to be some element of surprise, as that is the big thing the Hulu series is known for. However, at the same time it makes sense to deliver something that still feels appropriate for all the twists and turns we have seen so far. That can be a tough balancing act.
