The Pitt season 2 episode 7 spoilers: Is Dana still reeling?
One thing does absolutely feel clear entering The Pitt season 2 episode 7 on HBO Max: Dana is having another difficult day.
Has something as traumatic as the punch from season 1 happened again? No but at the same time, there are lingering effects of it still there. Meanwhile, she just had to deal with Louie’s death while also tackling a super-stressful day and then also mentoring someone in Emma who is there on her very first day. That is a lot to take in, even for someone who does have a fairly tough exterior.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Katherine LaNasa indicated that her character is still working to deal with a lot following the end of last season — and to be specific, the punch that lives with her:
“I would say that Dana is bit on edge. I think she’s still reeling from the punch. I think that took a big toll on her … I think she’s kind of defensive, a little hyper vigilant, a little more short tempered, not taking any crap, you know. I think she still has her warmth, and in some ways she’s still the same old Dana, but I think we’ll definitely see a changed Dana, and I think it’s not even really so much about where she begins, but like what happens to her throughout the day, and how the effects of that punch affect her and her behavior, and how that plays out throughout the day. We see that she’s still affected by it.”
Given the fact that Dana left the hospital for a good stretch after the punch, it makes sense that it would still live with her. Yet, the fact that she has now returned shows further just the sort of person she really is.
