‘The View’: Is Jenny McCarthy ready to replace Joy Behar?
Do we now know at least one new addition to “The View” for this fall? If we are to believe the latest rumors floating around the internet, than it looks as though a woman with quite an established relationship already with ABC may be getting in business with them in an even greater capacity.
Speaking to Us Weekly, a source claims that Jenny McCarthy could be making the move over from VH1 to be a panelist in the place of Joy Behar, who announced in the spring that she is stepping away from the program in order to enjoy more time away from work. If you recall, McCarthy co-hosts “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” on the broadcast network every year, and has become a popular staple of it.
Here’s what the source had to say in full:
“She is in serious talks right now. Her show isn’t quite working out, so she’s definitely open to it … The cast and crew get a kick out of Jenny.”
All in all, it’s hard to see too many people criticizing this move. She’s well-known as an opinionated woman, and if there is one thing that “The View” definitely needs in order to thrive, it’s this.
The same publication also claims that Brooke Shields is under heavy consideration at the moment to replace Elisabeth Hasselbeck on the show, but we are a little bit more skeptical when it comes to that. Why? Our simple answer is just that Hasselbeck has never announced for sure that she is leaving, and while liberal audiences may not like her, she is still a voice for many of the conservative viewers in certain parts of the country.
