The Pitt season 2 episode 6: Patrick Ball on Robby, Langdon
Tonight on HBO Max we are going to have a chance to dive into The Pitt season 2 episode 6 — who is ready for the latest on Robby and Langdon?
We more than recognize heading into this episode that there may not be a resolution for these two, who have been extremely distant (mostly because of Robby) since the start of the shift. However, if there is a time for them to try and fix things, is it now? After all, they both have a history with Louie, the frequent patient whose life now hangs in the balance. This could give them perspective — or at least that’s what we want.

Is Robby being too hard on his one-time protegee? That is a big question that is out there, and it is something that Patrick Ball himself addressed to The Hollywood Reporter:
That is a really big question. I think there was a very close bond between Langdon and Robbie; Langdon looked to him as a mentor and close friend and role model. Robby saw Langdon as a reminder of himself, and I think at the end of season one, there’s a lot of things Langdon says out of desperation that are very hurtful — and also somewhat truthful. A big argument of this show is, physician heal thyself. These people don’t have time to stop and ask themselves if they’re OK. That’s a price they pay to help others, and I think all of that hits the wall when Langdon’s addiction comes to light, and the situation is exposing for everybody involved.
We do recognize that The Pitt is a drama and just because of that alone, it is foolish to assume anything good for these characters. However, it does have moments of optimism and light. These are the very things that we’re now clinging to as we get closer to the halfway point of the story.
