Is Matlock new tonight on CBS? Make no mistake here — it has been a long time since we last saw the Kathy Bates show on the air! Because of this, we certainly do not blame anyone for wanting more of it soon, especially since we know that there is a lot of drama ahead at the firm.

After all, remember what was teased in the first half of season 2 with the merger story, one that could lead to downsizing or a number of other twists. There is always going to be jeopardy around Matty’s status, and that is without getting into her long-term goals or any individual case.

Now that we’ve done a bit of table-setting, this is where we of course have to come back in and deliver the unfortunate news that Matlock will still be off the air tonight. Season 2 episode 9 is still slated to return on February 26, right on the other side of the Olympics.
