With Extracted season 2 episode 4 coming to Fox in just seven days, just how intense can you expect the game to be? Well, for starters, we are looking towards another evolution within the game. Some of the families at HQ are starting to know one another better, and the game-within-the-game could begin to take shape. That obviously could help some survivalists out in the field, but hurt others at the same exact time.

What we are trying to say here can really be summed up within a singular sentence: There are going to be some betrayals. At this point, it is best to brace accordingly.

As survivalists battle injuries, darkness, and a high-stakes raft trial in the wild, families at HQ form new alliances and target threats after a shocking extraction reshapes the game in the all-new “Sink or Swim” episode of Extracted airing Monday, Feb 16 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (EXT-204) (TV-14 L)

Ultimately, a show like this does need shocking extractions for a wide array of reasons. Injuries, while unfortunate, are still necessary to show that the stakes of the game are very-much real and anything can happen at a specific point in time. Meanwhile, there are also going to be strategic choices that are made; we need that so this show can start to generate more attention among gamers out there. There are a ton of series out there that have tried to capture some of the audience of Survivor, Big Brother, The Traitors, and other programs of that ilk. This is one of the reasons we are not surprised that Extracted opted to bring people like Sandra and Analyse onto this season in some capacity.
