In a little under 48 hours you are going to have a chance to dive into The Beauty season 1 episode 6 on FX — so what are the major takeaways at this point?

Well, let us start by saying that in true show fashion, the producers are not holding it back when it comes to showing how actions have consequences, especially for Byron as more and more data comes in suggesting that what he is producing is even more dangerous than he first thought. As a matter of fact, we are inching closer to bioweapon territory.

In this, Forst throws the question out there about how he is meant to sell any of this, but this is where the show can easily venture into some social commentary. So much of this show can easily be all about the greed and tendency for those in the pharmaceutical industry to look the other way and in general, Ryan Murphy shows do not have a tendency to be subtle.

No matter what Forst decides before the end of this episode, be assured that it is going to catapult into what should be the home stretch of the season. The Beauty is eleven episodes, which does at least give it more breathing room than a lot of other series out there get. Still, it remains our hope that the producers make the most of this opportunity and show what we tend to think at this point is going to be a glorious downward spiral, one that could deliver a multitude of twists and turns no one tends to see coming.
