Dark Matter season 2 premiere date: February 2026 update

Is there a chance that we will hear more news on Dark Matter season 2 between now and the end of February? Make no mistake here — we would love nothing more than to get the show back. Filming wrapped up several months ago and by virtue of that, we are now in a holding pattern to see just what Apple TV decides to do here.

If you are feeling frustrated, the only thing that we can really say is that you are not alone. There are multiple other shows at the streamer in a similar boat, with another great example here being Silo. That series finished filming its third season back in May.

So do we think there is at least a chance we’re going to hear something before the end of February? It is possible and if that happens, we tend to think that an April or May launch will happen. If it does, though, it will be a little bit baffling for one simple reason. Just this past week, there was a massive press event for a number of different shows on the Apple TV platform, including big hits like Pluribus and Your Friends & Neighbors. However, Dark Matter was notably absent for reasons that remain unclear. There may be a sentiment that it did not need to be present at this time — or, it may just not be coming for quite a long time down the road.

As for what we want in season 2…

Well, let’s just make it pretty darn clear at this point at this point that we want more twists, more character development, and possibly more mystery? We do not think that this is a show that has to end anytime soon, so why not add even more depth to the whole ensemble?
