Landman season 3 spoilers: Will something terrible happen?

We know that Landman season 3 is going to start filming a little bit later this spring and from where we stand, there are so many directions the story can go.
After all, consider the following here: Tommy Norris is starting a new oil company in CTT and with that comes new challenges — and also possible threats. For example, it is really hard to imagine a scenario in which Cami lets it go that Tommy left M-Tex, took some people with him, and is now trying to compete in this space. What also adds to the chaos is Gallino, who has money invested now with both parties and could wreck a lot of havoc if things don’t go his way.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the season 2 finale and what lies ahead, Jacob Lofland (who plays Cooper) notes that the overall unease in that scene with Billy Bob Thornton and Andy Garcia makes him very-much nervous about what else could be coming:
The calmness behind that threat is what makes me scared — how serious he is and how little emotion he has to show to let you know that he’s truthful and means what he says. That was a great scene with Andy and Billy. That’s going to be interesting. Cooper kind of failed upwards and it wound up working out for everybody, so we’ll see where it goes. It could be a great help or a real problem.
We do think that Cooper’s sense of ambition and positive outlook is good for business — in a way, having a younger face could help for speaking to a new generation. However, he is also still naive and a little too eager to jump into danger. This is where both TL and Tommy are going to have to work hard to make sure he does not get in over his head.
