Landman season 3 premiere date: Is November again possible?

If you look back at the last two seasons of Landman on Paramount+, there is absolutely one common thread: A premiere date in November. So what are the chances that this actually happens again?

Well, the first thing that we should really note here is that the renewal has been out there for some time, which means that Taylor Sheridan has had a reasonable amount of time to work on some of the story. How much he has done as of right now, though, remains a mystery. The co-creator does not do interviews with great frequency, and nor does he tell his cast what is coming up for them far in advance. They often have to wait to get some scripts before they are fully clued in.

If there is a hang-up about Landman hitting the November premiere date again, it is really just tied to what is going on with filming. Season 3 is slated to start around May, based on what we’ve heard in various finale post-mortems. That is later than what we saw last year, so is there really still time to turn episodes around that fast? In theory, the answer might be yes, but there is a time-crunch required here.

After all, each episode will need a decent amount of editing after they are shot — not like a Game of Thrones or Stranger Things, but editing still nonetheless. The series itself also takes months to film. Because some of Sheridan’s shows have had a reasonably short turnaround time, November feels at least feasible in a way that it isn’t for other programs — yet, do not be surprised if we are waiting until December or January. This would make for a long wait but all things considered, it is nowhere near as bad as what we seen with a lot of shows elsewhere.
