The wait for “The Client List’s” possible season 3 renewal has been interesting, to say the least. Following the show’s season 2 finale, which definitely made it look as though Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Riley was in a pretty interesting place, it certainly felt as though the show had plenty to work from in the future. So what ended up happening instead? A series of stories coming out suggested that a debate was ongoing behind the scenes between show producers and the actress, who also has an executive producer credit, over how her pregnancy on the show should be handled. She wanted her real-life fiancee Brian Hallisay to be the father, which made sense given their relationship on the show; however, producers were hoping to go in a different direction.
Now, this story has taken a different direction, as Hewitt has made the move to leave Twitter after at one point being a frequent tweeter on the site. In a series of posts before signing off, here’s what she had to say:
“Unfortunately with all the negativity people choose to send on twitter as well as threats to [their] own well being. I’m sad to say twitter is no longer for me. I have enjoyed all the kindness and love that came my way, as well as support. But this break is needed. Life should be filled with positivity and holding each other up, not making threats and sending bad vibes. To those of you who made it a joy… thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Will she come back at some point? Possibly, but she is right that Twitter can be a pretty toxic place, and given everything else currently happening in her life, she likely figures that there are plenty of other things she can do with her life.
