Is Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage new tonight on CBS? We have been waiting over the past several weeks to see more of what the future will hold here. Are we about to dive into the world of the series again?

Well, we suppose that this is where we do come in here bearing some of the bad news: There is no episode of the sitcom on the air tonight. As a matter of fact, you are going to be stuck waiting until late February to see it back.

So what is the logic here from CBS at this point? The simple explanation we can offer here is that they do not want to air a few Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage episodes now, only to then take the show off the air for several weeks during the Olympics. One of the reasons why we had so many consecutive episodes in the fall is that the network anticipated a long midseason hiatus. With this, they can bring the show back and then air a number of other consecutive episodes without many delays.

Unfortunately, we are still too far out for there to be a number of other major details for what lies ahead, but we do certainly hope that this changes in the weeks and months ahead. We certainly think the title characters’ marriage will continue to be tested, and at the same time, there should be at least a few notable guest stars, including some favorites from Young Sheldon. We would be surprised if Iain Armitage does come on board as Sheldon this season, though ironically, he is going to be playing a version of himself on the comedy’s Thursday-night companion in Ghosts later this season.
