When the “Criminal Minds” season 9 premiere airs on CBS September 25, they are going to have a pretty significant guest star on board for the entire two hours. So who is it? Read on to find out, at least so long as you are okay with spoilers.
According to a report from TVLine, former “Ghost Whisperer” and “Harry’s Law” actress Camryn Manheim is going to appear during the show’s premiere as a mother of an UnSub that is featured pretty heavily in the episode. The child that is at the center of the story is hardly someone who is the poster kid for good behavior: As a matter of fact, they are a terror known for inflicting harm and even killing people who bear a similarity to their ex-girlfriend.
To make things even more interesting, Manheim’s character is going to have plenty to hide when it comes to her own family secrets, and we expect this to be a more than complicated situation to watch unfold later this year. “Criminal Minds” likely feels a certain amount of pressure to top itself after a strong season, as they now need to prove that they can handle the pressure, and therefore take the action and the intensity up another notch.
This casting follows up the arc of Mark Hamill as the Regulator, who could be considered to be the “Big Bad” of the end of season 8. There will be more guest-star announcements coming up, so be sure to stay tuned for more on that.
