Pluribus season 1 finale: Will Carol, Manousos actually team up?

We knew that there was a chance that the Pluribus season 1 finale would drop some sort of big bomb about the Joined — who knew that a literal one would enter the picture?
For those who thought that Carol discussing an atom bomb earlier this season was just a fun little runner, she actually got one from Zosia and the Joined at the end of the finale. Why? Well, her eyes are very-much wide open now to how far they are going to go to achieve their reality, even to the point of fundamentally betraying her in the worst way possible.

We know that there were some out there earlier this season who predicted that Carol’s frozen eggs were going to find a way to come back into the story and as it turns out, that has turned out to be true. Zosia and the Joined are using them to get around her consent, meaning that they will be able to get the stem cells they need to eventually make her one of them. This means that she could lose her individuality within a matter of months, something that makes her fundamentally enraged. She thought that she had embraced a life with Zosia and had true happiness in a way she never imagined; yet, so much of it was a lie.
Because of this realization, the finale concluded with Carol returning to Manousos, who arrived in Albuquerque earlier in the finale as contentious and combative as ever. He feels ready to destroy the Joined however he can, and seems to think that there is a signal he can use to get through to the real person. We’re not sure that they will ever agree on everything, but at the same time, are we at the beginning now of a partnership? You can’t rule that out.
