Is NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney new tonight on CBS, 12/16?
Is NCIS new tonight on CBS? Beyond just that, what can we say about both the Origins prequel as well as they Sydney spin-off?
Well, as you would imagine, there is a good bit to state here regarding these shows and their future — but let’s start by noting that the schedule tonight is a tad complicated. There is a new episode of the flagship show at 8:00 p.m., one that carries with it the title of “Heaven and Nature.” If you want to learn more about it now, take a look below…
NCIS season 23 episode 9, “Heaven and Nature” – McGee and Torres try to recover a stolen truck filled with toys for the Navy’s annual Christmas drive while the truth about Parker’s mother is finally revealed. Also, Knight is given her first NCIS: Elite mission, which involves tracking down a former member of the team, on the CBS Original series NCIS, Tuesday, Dec. 16 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.

Now, here is where things get a little bit confusing. There is no new episode of Origins tonight, as last week was planned to be the final one of the calendar year. Now, originally there were plans for there to be more of Sydney tonight, but the episode below has been delayed. (We get more into that more at the link below.) You can see the synopsis for that episode below, but note that the date is now wrong.
NCIS: Sydney season 3 episode 9, “South of Nowhere” – The team races to an Antarctica research base to investigate why a climate scientist killed a colleague on Polar Night Eve – and make it out before their plane engine freezes and they’re trapped in darkness for six months, on NCIS: SYDNEY, Tuesday, Dec. 16 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.
