‘The Originals’ spoilers: Phoebe Tonkin talks Hayley’s future, Joseph Morgan’s Klaus

Is there any new show coming up in a stranger position than “The Originals” on The CW? If there is, we sure can’t think of it. This is a show that has already aired a pilot episode that bridged the gap between the new show and “The Vampire Diaries,” and now the challenge is as follows: How do you take the leap the rest of the way to a new show? You have to make the show appeal to folks who haven’t seen the flagship show, and this means creating an entirely new story. At the same time, you also can’t alienate the diehard fans by only bringing new aspects to the table.

The producers are working on getting the early scripts together, and for Phoebe Tonkin, we ask the following: What does her character of Hayley think about her current journey, and the pregnancy that was set up in the backdoor pilot? Speaking in an interview with IGN, the actress tried to describe the situation that we will find her character in moving forward:

“I think at the moment, Hayley is just holding on for her life right now, because she knows that if Klaus doesn’t help these witches that she is in a lot of trouble. So I think maybe in the next episode, we’re really going to see Hayley actually deal with the information that she is pregnant and that she is a young woman with a child, or a child about to come.”

It’s quite a bit to deal with, and it also probably does not help that the man who did impregnate her is hardly an example of a good man. As a matter of fact, we cannot even think of anyone with a higher body count to their name.
