Next week on BBC One, we hope that you are ready for so much more when it comes to drama — after all, The War Between the Land and the Sea season 1 episode 5 will arrive! This is the finale, and this is when almost everything hits the fan insofar as drama goes. We imagine that Barclay has a huge challenge ahead of him — but at the same time, so does all of UNIT.

One thing that was clear from the start here is that this series was meant to crescendo more and more leading to the big climax. There is something immensely exciting that comes with that and honestly, we also feel like the finale is meant to generate huge conversations. Just how that happens will be an extremely fun thing to think and talk about for some time.

It is still a shame, by the way, that US audiences have not had an opportunity to experience this. Then again, you can also argue that they have been underserved when it comes to the larger Doctor Who universe for a while. Sure, they get the flagship show but historically, it has been harder to either find the spin-offs or see them get proper promotion. At least we know from the totality of this series that they will be in for a fun ride when the story does eventually arrive.
