Is Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD new tonight, November 19?

Is Chicago Med new tonight on NBC? What can we say about both Chicago Fire and Chicago PD to go along with that?

As you would expect when it comes to this franchise, there is quite a bit to say … but we really should just go ahead and note some of the bad news. As great as it would be to have more of the One Chicago franchise on the air tonight, it is not going to happen. The reason why here is ultimately just tied to one thing: The presence of Wicked. The movie is debuting on NBC tonight leading up to the follow-up movie arriving in theaters and beyond that, we are getting into the holiday season.

The reason we bring all of this up is because Chicago Med and the other series are not going to be coming back on the air until we get around to January, which is a really long time to wait. Yet, we do think there are advantages to the break. For example, it allows the network to air a lot of upcoming episodes in batches, which we do think will make things easier on them in the long run so they don’t have the occasional installment airing on an island.

The one thing that we are personally hoping for here is that come next month at this time, we at least have a larger amount of details as to what lies ahead for a lot of these episodes. We do think it would be very-much useful to have a lot of great things to look forward to, no? We know that the most-recent episodes certainly suggested what will be coming up next, but we don’t tend to think that suggestion is a full-on substitution for clarity in the slightest.
