Sugar season 2 premiere date: A November 2025 update
As we get deeper into the month of November, we would love to imagine that more news on Sugar season 2 is coming before too long.
So, are we on the cusp of actually learning more about it? Honestly, we’re just in a spot where a wait-and-see approach is necessary. As of late, Apple TV has really taken its time to bring some shows back on the air, even once filming is done. A great example of that is Hijack, which is premiering next year despite wrapping filming this past winter. The Colin Farrell show has completed its next season and yet, there are a lot of question marks as to when we will see it.

For now, our general hope here is that the second season of John Sugar’s story will be available to us in the spring or early summer, mostly because that makes sense with the timeline we’re getting from some other streaming shows. With all of this being said, though, we tend to think that Apple will be carefully positioning this alongside a lot of their other upcoming releases, which include the likes of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, For All Mankind, and Silo. There are all expensive dramas that have a lot of footage in the can already.
So what will the next story look like on Sugar? We do think that it will be similar in some ways to season 1, where we saw John take on an individual case while also peeling back the onion on who he really is. It took a while in the first season for it to be confirmed that he was actually an alien in what was one of the more shocking / polarizing twists out there. For the time being, that is a high bar for the show to hit again. We at least know that he is still out there looking for his sister, and that Henry may be one of the few people who has some sort of useful information. We tend to think that this is going to be the next storyline for the show to look at.
