We know that you have been waiting for a long time to learn something more about The Last Thing He Told Me season 2 — luckily, the details are starting to roll in!

Today, the folks at Apple TV officially confirmed that on Friday, February 20, the Jennifer Garner mystery show will be coming back for more. The exact rollout for the latest season remains to be seen, but our general feeling is that the show should have as much of a weekly model as possible. Just remember for a moment here that this series is the sort where you want people discusses and theorizing about what is happening.

Below, you can see the official The Last Thing He Told Me season 2 synopsis, which does a decent job of setting the table for what is to come:

In season two of “The Last Thing He Told Me,” when Owen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) shows up after five years on the run, Hannah (Jennifer Garner) and her stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) find themselves in a race to figure out how to reunite their family before the past catches up to them.

In addition to being a mystery, we imagine that the second season is going to have its fair share of thriller components at the same time. This is a part of the fun here, and we really just hope that this proves to be worth the wait. After all, remember that there are some inevitable comparisons that can be made here to Big Little Lies, another “limited series” that did eventually become something more. That series had a fairly divisive second season, and it does surprisingly seem as though it will be coming back for a season 3. We’ll have to wait and see if Garner’s show can be successful enough to have another order. That isn’t something worth thinking or worrying about for some time.
