‘Under The Dome’ episode 2 review: Will a fire put an end to Chester’s Mill?
We were so excited for the premiere of “Under The Dome” and after watching the premiere last week, we were not disappointed. With a fantastic cast, story and ratings we couldn’t wait until the next episode to see what happens next. So what’s happening this week with the townsfolk of Chester’s Mill?
Some of the people are trying to find a way out from under the dome by digging under it, but nothing is working. Most people think that it is a wall, but the DJ’s at the radio station have heard through the waves that it is actually a dome.
The military has it surrounded and won’t interact with anyone under the dome suggesting that they may be involved. One of the towns kids sees that the military is performing experiments on the dome by spraying it with water and they learn that a little water comes through. However bullets and smoke? They just bounce off the dome.
Julia goes to the radio station and learns that the town is under a dome and forces the DJ’s to let her announce what she knows to the townsfolk. the more they listen to the little radio they have the more they learn about what the outside world knows about the dome. They come to find out that the military is not involved and they are clueless about the whole situation too.
We learn that Jim’s working with Lester (a reverend) when it comes to the mystery of the dome and when he tries to burn some papers in Duke’s house he ends up burning the whole house down and he’s trapped inside. Putting out this fire is going to be next to impossible since it hasn’t rained in weeks, but everyone is doing their part to put the fire out. Linda hears screaming inside the house and busts the door to help and she pulls an unconscious Lester out of the house just before the propane tanks next to the house go off. Nothing is working so Jim grabs a bulldozer and tears Duke’s house to the ground to stop the flames from jumping allowing the townsfolk to put the fire out with buckets of water. Lester tells everyone he was in Duke’s house to get him a suit for the funeral when the house caught on fire.
The little part of tonight’s episode that we really liked was seeing two kids find a dog named Truman (like “The Truman Show”). What did you think of tonight’s episode of “Under The Dome”? Was it as good as the premiere? Leave us a comment and tell us what you think.
