Grey’s Anatomy season 22 episode 2 spoilers: About grief

Later this week you are going to have a chance to see Grey’s Anatomy season 22 episode 2, and be assured of one thing: There are emotional moments ahead. After all, why wouldn’t there be when you take a moment to consider what just happened?

We knew that we would be seeing a major character killed off at some point in the premiere, and no matter who it was, there would be some difficult moments on the other side. We know now that the deceased was none other than Beltran and by virtue of that, Amelia is going to be one of the people struggling mightily in the aftermath. Luckily, we do at least know that there are going to be some people she has to lean on during tough moments like this.

Based on a lot of what we’ve heard at this point already, it seems as though Ellen Pompeo is going to be back for the early part of this season, and could be back here and there down the line. The more opportunities that we get to see her, the better it could be for the show given the fact that nostalgia is really one of the best things that the series brings to the table week in and week out. We do want to see Amelia find some happiness at some point — even if it is not here for her immediately, we will hold out hope that she will find her way to it before everything wraps up.
