‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 spoilers: First look at premiere … script

Melisandre

There’s no point in trying to get around it: We have a very long time still to wait until “Game of Thrones” season 4 premieres on HBO next year, but since we are doing our best to offer some sort of consolation, doesn’t it at least feel nice to know that production this month is only a matter of weeks away? The show takes longer than most to go from start to finish, mostly because of all of the locations that need to be visited, and the elaborate post-production process that involves adding in various objects and creatures after the fact. (Dragons don’t make themselves people!)

In a new post on her Instagram, actress Carice van Houten (who you otherwise know as Melisandre) shared a part of the season premiere script … but only the part that showed the name of the series, and the evidence that the premiere is written by showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. This is somewhat newsworthy, but also expected given that many showrunners often write their premieres.

If Carice has a script, it is likely that we will see much more of Melisandre on the show next season following a pretty interesting plot this time around, where she worked to try and convince Stannis Baratheon to kill Gendry, that way there would be less of a stake to his brother’s throne outside of him. Unfortunately he failed, as Davos sent the young man into the sea on a tiny boat at the end of the season.

Are you anxious already for more “Game of Thrones” season 4 scoop? If you head on over to the link here, you can see some proof that production is heading not only to Dubrovnik this year, but to other parts of Croatia, as well!
