‘Falling Skies’ season 3 spoilers: Noah Wyle sets up epic finale
“Falling Skies” will be back on Sunday with yet another season 3 episode, but there is already starting to be questions as to how this crazy, fast-paced space epic is going to come to a close. Will there be some shocking moments? You better count on it, just as you can also expect there to be some sort of final episode this year that will surprise you not only with what it shows you, but also with the sole notion that it is not going to make you sit around and wait until next summer to find out the other half of a cliffhanger.
Speaking in a new interview with TVLine about the end of the season, Noah Wyle teases that there is going to be a different sort of conclusion to the show than we have seen in the past, specifically when it comes to how the show will end and keep you waiting for another season to happen:
“[There are] a couple really big shows towards the end of the season that I’m really proud of … We saved a lot of our war chest special-effects money for [the finale] in particular.
“As opposed to some of the other seasons where we’ve ended on a cliffhanger, this one has more of a sense of closure, and completion.”
Don’t take this as any sort of sign that the show is ending. While we do have questions about how long a sci-fi epic with these sort of special effects can really last from a financial perspective, TNT likely has at least one more year (possibly more than that) to continue to tell their story. It’s one of their most-popular shows in adults 18-49, and this season has been a vast improvement thus far in terms of quality.
If you want to hear more of what Wyle has to say about the show, don’t fret: He and some of the other stars will be at Comic-Con! If you want to read more on that, all you have to do is click here.
