‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 notes: Jesse Williams, Sarah Chalke stories

Grey's AnatomyIt has been a while since we’ve talked about “Grey’s Anatomy,” so why not check in with what a pair of actors are doing this summer? In the case of one of them, we have a series regular who has been a key player on the show for years; meanwhile, the other is an actress who really made an impact on the show with just a one-episode guest arc (one that could still land her in Emmy consideration a little later on in the year).

We’re going to start with Sarah Chalke, given that her story here is still rather emotional with what she went through with her child and Kawasaki Disease, which inspired that storyline you saw back in season 9. If you head over to the link here, then you will have the opportunity to take part in something that we personally believe to be rather special: A way to raise money and awareness to help those who desperately need it, since this is a disease that is extremely difficult to diagnose, let alone treat.

If you read the instructions, you’ll see that you have an opportunity to win a number of things, including a “Grey’s Anatomy” script signed by the cast. Not a bad way to give back.

As for Jesse Williams … He’s getting an opportunity to do something very different than just play the park of Dr. Jackson Avery on the ABC hit; he’s lending his voice to an audiobook! He will be featured in “The Bane Chronicles: What Really Happened In Peru” by authors Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan as a narrator, and he explained to MTV why he relished this opportunity:

“Because there’s just so much drama and tension on ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ it’s refreshing to do something a little lighter, funnier, a little more varied … Storybooks were always a big part of my imagination, and my childhood and adolescence,” he explained. “It’s nice to be the storyteller in a different way.”

What do you think about these stories? As always, we want to check out what you think below! Also, take a look at the link here if you want to see more of what Williams has to say about the road ahead on the show.
