‘CarterMatt Chat’ premiere! ‘Dexter’ season 8 scoop, ‘Big Brother’ 15 talk, and ‘Whodunnit’ hype

We’ve been talking about it on Twitter for much of the past several days, but we are now thrilled to confirm that it is finally here: The launch of our brand-new weekly web show, “CarterMatt Chat.” Our mission statement is simple: Providing insight, analysis, mass geekiness, and of course brutal honesty on our favorite medium / obsession. The show is hosted by me, Editor-in-Chief Matt Carter, and will be uploaded every Friday.

For the premiere episode, we bounced around to a trio of shows that have us excited, anxious, and in some ways rolling our eyes with some of the decisions they’ve made over the years.

“Dexter“ – We’ve got some scoop on what happens for a few characters beginning with Sunday night’s final-season premiere, and we also ask the question: While we’re Yvonne Strahovski fans, would it have been better to see Lumen come back?

“Big Brother 15“ – Our summer vice is back and causing some major anxiety as usual, and we’ve got some of the latest news from the live feeds along with a discussion about if this MVP twist is already starting to backfire in the face of series overlord Allison Grodner.

“Whodunnit” – Finally, we plead for everyone to check out ABC’s new murder-mystery show, and possibly throw a hefty amount of blame at Nik Wallenda for hurting the show’s ratings. We mention in the video that we’ve got the full episode up on the site, and the link to find that is here.

Next week, we’ll be back to provide more insight news on the live feed, and have a little bit more to talk about when it comes to a few other shows as we near two big holidays: Canada Day and the Fourth of July.
