If you hadn’t quite heard the news yet, one of the show’s recently killed-off actors in Michelle Fairley has a sizable arc coming up on season 3 of USA’s “Suits,” playing an oil tycoon in desperate need of trying to defend herself over some crimes that many people in her position find themselves guilty of. Her problem? She’s facing off against an opponent who is operating with some sort of added motive to try and take her down a few notches.
It must have been a cause for excitement to have a woman like Fairley on the set, especially for big fans of the HBO show like Patrick J. Adams. The problem in here comes when you starting asking questions, and realize that the actress is sticking around for quite a while. Speaking to “Access Hollywood” in an interview, Patrick J. Adams admitted that he had a hard time not asking her questions about the show:
“I did not know what was going to happen to her, but I had suspected [something] because in my fangirling, it was like trying to make conversation – ‘When are you going back to work? When are you gonna do that?’ And she was just like… ‘Ah. Well. We’ll go back…’ You could see her kind of stumbling over it and then I saw it in her eye and I just was like, ‘Stop. No more. I know.'”
The truth of the matter is, Fairley could still have a role on the HBO show if they needed her for flashbacks or otherwise, but for now, the focus is really all about “Suits.” We’ve seen the premiere episode and Fairley is fantastic in it, playing a character that is incredibly distinct and different from Catelyn Stark.
There are also still some surprises away from Fairley on “Suits” season 3, including Harvey’s dad. Find out more about him here.
