‘Criminal Minds’ season 9 spoilers: The premiere title and early details

The wait for “Criminal Minds” to premiere on September 25 may still be rather long, but we’re hoping to make the wait a little less unbearable now with a few more details as to just what you can expect.

According to TVLine, the first integral detail to know is that the premiere episode is going to be titled “The Inspiration,” and it sounds like the team is not going to be wasting very much time at all when it comes to moving on from the whole Regulator business. The story will revolve around a serial killer who has an obsession with his ex, and also a rather creepy profession to boot. There’s probably at least one similarity that this episode will have with “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (i.e. snakes), and for the start of a two-hour premiere, it feels as though it will be a pretty exciting way to kick off the season.

On the casting front, there has to be someone to lead this investigation. Producers are currently looking for a “tough” female Sargent (is there any other kind?) to help spearhead this entire investigation. We expect drama, violence, and above all an exciting mystery that will hopefully help to take our minds off the fact that Mark Hamill was never meant to be a permanent presence on this show.

“Criminal Minds” likely feels some pressure to start off this new season with something great, given that they have been on the air for as long as they have. Then again, they can also celebrate this very fact.
