‘Big Brother 15’ spoilers: Julie Chen, MVP voting, and other assorted teasers
What we want to spend a little bit of time focusing on this morning is the MVP, which will either be the coolest thing since the Power of Veto, or the lamest thing since that Duo Do-Over that gave the veterans a huge opportunity to stay alive back in season 13. As of right now, it’s not the worst idea the show has ever had, though it’s easy to be already worried about this being a popularity contestant.
With that, we have to assume one thing right away: Elissa Slater will be the first MVP. She’s the only houseguest that America knows by relation to Rachel Reilly, and she has been campaigning hard for her. We don’t know if anyone else will come close. It’s good news for Elissa, since it helps to guarantee that she will survive the first week of the game when we’re not sure if she otherwise would.
As for how the MVP power will be integrated, it seems almost like the power will be a mystery at first to the rest of the houseguests, but the Head of Household will only be responsible for nominating two people. That’s what some of our own sleuthing has figured out, but there are some parts of this that are still way too hard to figure out. We assume the MVP will put up the third person, which is supposed to help alleviate the floaters in the game. We don’t really see it that way, since it’s really just another chance to put up another power player on the other side. If anything, this could help floaters stay longer.
Anyhow, that’s just our take. We’ll be back this afternoon with full predictions for this season, but if you want to read all of our individual houseguest spotlight articles (complete with subtle mockery and such), the best place to go is the link here.
