‘Unforgettable’ season 2 spoilers: Two new regulars join ‘Walking Dead’s’ Dallas Roberts
After all of the changeover has taken place on “Unforgettable” leading up to the start of the show’s second season, in reality we are looking at a show that feels very similar now to where it was back when it first premiered: With six series regulars on the cast.
You likely remember the addition of Dallas Roberts (Milton on “The Walking Dead”) as one full-time cast member, and now Deadline is reporting that James Laio and Tawny Cypress, who each joined the series prior to the start of season 2 production as recurring stars, have also been handed the promotion. They join Poppy Montgomery, Dylan Walsh, and Jane Curtin as regulars for the show.
As for one of the primary reasons for the massive turnover, you really do not have to look any further than the fact that this show was at one point canceled, so many actors of course looked for other work elsewhere. It was not until later that CBS decided to pick up the show for a second season, with the primary difference being that it would now air in the summertime rather than the fall / spring seasons. It’s a big risk, but one that could allow CBS to better compete with TNT for new crime drama programming in the summer. The network also desperately needs something other than “Big Brother” to do well on their network for a change, and this could be their ticket to getting things going in the right direction.
