‘The Voice’ UK final rankings: Will Leah McFall, Andrea Begley win?
On Saturday night, the BBC is going to be ending the “The Voice” UK’s second season, so we will kick things off here with a pretty important question: Who is going to be declared the winner of the bunch? The artists remaining are all good singers in their own right, but this show needs more than that at this point if it wants to actually boost its reputation somewhat: It needs a winner that it can look back on and proclaim is a bona fide super star.
We’re basing our rankings here on this first and foremost, though we are also considering the individual artist’s overall body of work, and how they have been presented on the show all season long.
4. Matt Henry (Team Jessie J) – A nice guy, but we were very surprised to see him defeat Ash Morgan in making it this far in the competition. We also don’t really know what he would bring to the industry that Marcus Collins tried to do after “The X Factor” a couple of seasons ago.
3. Mike Ward (Tom Jones) – Tom may be the UK version of Blake Shelton when it comes to popularity, but we don’t really know if Mike is necessarily ready yet for this title. Basically, we don’t think he would have made it this far if he was a country singer on the American version of the show.
2. Andrea Begley (Danny O’Donoghue) – A great story and a soulful voice, Andrea will at the very least be in third place. At the end of the day, we don’t know where she would fit in or sell records, and the show needs a little bit more than just someone who performs well on this platform. We think she’s tremendous, but there is a better candidate for a winner on here.
1. Leah McFall (will.i.am) – The truth here is just that she’s the whole package: A great singer, a great performer, and a unique talent. This is what the show needs in its winner, and her iTunes sales to actually back her up at this point. The BBC has to be praying for her to come out on top.
