‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7: Kaley Cuoco receives Hollywood Walk of Fame star

PennyYesterday, the Hollywood Walk of Fame news was all about Jennifer Lopez getting the opportunity to receive a star in this famous section of Los Angeles; and now, the news is shifting over to a certain star of “The Big Bang Theory” in Kaley Cuoco.

In a new post on Twitter, the actress / occasional awards show host (who appeared on a number of programs before the CBS smash, including “8 Simple Rules” before and after John Ritter’s sudden death) announced that she was going to be the latest recipient of a star prior to the start of season 7. She also shared the following thank-you in celebration of the honor:

“Thank you to all the fans who have shown me such love and support today! I feel so blessed and honored!! Truly!!! Thank you!”

This news comes several weeks before Cuoco will return to work for the show’s seventh season. At this moment, “The Big Bang Theory” is in many ways stronger than ever. The ratings were enormous throughout most of the sixth season, and the show was only second in the ratings to “The Walking Dead” when it came to the 18-49 demographic. (It was tops among all comedies.) Cuoco was also the recipient of the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, whereas Simon Helberg was honored as a recipient of the Supporting Actor prize. The show will officially return to CBS with all-new episodes beginning on Thursday, September 26 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
