NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 2 spoilers: The premiere title is…

HannibalEven though the blood is not entirely dry yet on the first season of “Hannibal,” we do have some scoop already on what is going to be coming up on the show’s second season. Specifically, we have it for you in the form of a title.

In a new post on his Twitter, executive producer Bryan Fuller revealed yesterday that the first episode of season 2 (which will likely air next year) is “Kaiseki,” which, for those of you unfamiliar with the term, can refer to either a traditional Japanese meal or the way in which you go about preparing it. We imagine that the series is still in the early writing / breaking stages, but when you have titles that are based somewhat around a theme, it may be easier to come up with them in advance.

As for where the show will pick up, we imagine we will see Will’s attempts to slowly start to recover after being locked up behind bars, and realizing potentially that Dr. Hannibal Lecter is hardly the man that everyone believes him to be. The unfortunately thing for Hugh Dancy’s character is that no one else seems to realize right now that he is culpable of anything, and thus, he is the boy who cried killer.

We will have more news on “Hannibal” season 2 when it becomes available, as there are likely to be many more changes that are announced in the weeks and months ahead.

For now, what do you think about this title, and do you find a Japanese theme for the season (at least at this point) to be somewhat interesting? If you want to go back and read our full review of Thursday night’s finale, all you have to do is click here.
