‘Teen Wolf’ season 3, episode 3 review: Human sacrifices
Just in case you did not think that there was enough violence during the first two episodes of “Teen Wolf” season 3, Monday night’s installment probably filled your quota and then some. In what can be best described as some sort of mash-up between a murder mystery and “True Blood,” we saw the characters trying to figure out a series of deaths, and also working to uncover some mysteries regarding a very powerful alpha pack.
First of all, can we say that the scene with the plague of bugs was one of the most horrifying things we’ve seen all year? We don’t know why, but for whatever reason there’s something far more terrifying to us about scores of tiny insects than there is just your run-of-the-mill crazy death.
From this one point, we don’t know how much really started to stand out until we neared the final ten episodes of the season, which is when the insanity really started. We heard music that sounded almost akin to the “Gladiator” soundtrack, Scott doing some serious work when it came to taking out enemies, and some very lucky timing thanks to the sun coming up.
After a series of battles, though, the truth about what was going on was finally revealed: We have ourselves some sort of serial killer on the loose. The guilty party / parties are making sacrifices out of virgins, and doing the same thing to every single victim by leaving their bodies to be found. After three episodes of being kept in the dark, can we say that our interest level in this season just multiplied by ten?
