AMC’s ‘The Killing’ season 3, episode 5 preview: Who’s held at gunpoint?
Are we about to see Linden and Holder make an arrest on “The Killing” season 3? Given that we are still in the early stages of this season, it does feel a little bit early that we would be getting to that point. Plus, with the whole Seward situation playing out behind bars, we’re pretty sure that Linden in particular will want to ensure that she is 120% correct before making any arrests in regards to this case.
The big thing that you can almost surely expect to see from this episode (entitled “Scared and Running”) is for some more information to be revealed about “Mills.” We first heard this name Sunday thanks to a prostitute who was questioned, and this is quickly turning out to be a key person of interest. Not only that, but we know that there is an especially creepy connection in here to Kallie’s mother that will surface for the detectives soon enough.
When is the pacing going to pick up to an acceptable level? If there’s one major criticism that we had for this past episode, it was that the entire ordeal felt a tad too dreary at times, and we’re saying that for a show that makes a calling card out of overcast skies. We’re not asking for anyone to come out and do a happy dance, but it would be nice for there to be some reminders here and there about something other than constant despair.
