Apparently, the producers behind “The Bachelorette” wanted to ensure that for tonight’s all-new episode you run the full range of emotions along with some of the contestants on the show. At one point, you’ll be smiling, and then at other points you’ll be choked up over what you are seeing. To use the same analogy, some guys are going to have an opportunity to dance around shirtless in front of Desiree Hartsock in Atlantic City; meanwhile, James Case is going to have a very different sort of experience.
During his one-on-one date tonight, James and Desiree are going to be traveling over the famed Jersey Shore via helicopter to see the sort of damage that Hurricane Sandy has brought. It’s a pretty harrowing sight, especially when you look back at all the episodes of “Jersey Shore” to see the sort of fun that typically happens in the area. Even if you hate that MTV show, it’s pretty easy to say you’d much rather see silliness than sadness.
One of the other interesting layers to this story is that while the boardwalk still looks pretty devastated, the Jersey Shore is now open for business thanks in part to all of the state’s residents working together to get it up and running again. We’re sure there will be some sort of announcement thrown in here, mostly because the state obviously wants people to visit the tourist spot again. (Thanks to “Jersey Shore,” it has exploded in popularity.)
If you want to check out some scoop from another one-on-one date tonight, watch the video here. It’s basically the weirdest way to shoehorn someone’s ability to “smell chocolate” into an everyday conversation.
