‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ review: Teresa Giudice drama of all kinds
Some things change when it comes to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” but there are plenty other things that stay the same. For example, there will almost always be drama, and Teresa Giudice will be involved.
We had high hopes that many of the women in this episode would be about taking the high road, mostly because one of the central events here revolved around Teresa’s father being in the hospital. She accused Melissa Gorga of lying about visiting with them, and Kathy Wakile went through quite an ordeal when it came to whether or not she should put up with Teresa in order to give her uncle what he deserved. (At least Melissa tried to put her best foot forward when talking about attending Gia’s birthday party.)
We do have to spend a few seconds talking about Teresa’s children, since they have to take the cake when it comes to sheer awfulness. How can she be so immune to their “I’m on TV, I’m famous” behavior? You may as well book them down for a future installment of this franchise.
In looking over this whole episode, the real question just came down to this: Do you want to give up your position in a feud to take care of family, and how far do you try to go in order to make yourself look good on TV? This was a key part in the Melissa fight, as you wonder what facilitated her saying what she did about Teresa’s father.
So sadly, this Father’s Day episode was fairly miserable, plus, it was almost all about the Teresa clan.
