‘True Blood’ season 6, episode 1 preview: What’s next for Andy and Holly?
We’ve talked pretty extensively on the site about some of the flashier characters on “True Blood’s” upcoming sixth season, from Sookie Stackhouse to Eric Northman to Alcide. However, we have not really touched much on two of our favorite supporting characters as of late: Andy Bellefleur and Holly. The former of the two is the frequently-hysterical sheriff who does nothing right (including impregnating a fairy with all sorts of bizarre babies that she spontaneously gave birth to last season), and the other is the real woman he loves, a waitress / wiccan at Merlotte’s whose children have already seen Andy’s butt. A match made in heaven, right?
Well, Andy is going to have his work cut out for him trying to win Holly back, at least based on what Lauren Bowles said recently to Entertainment Weekly in trying to preview this new season:
“It’s entirely possible, but he’s got some work to do because she is none too happy with him at all, and I would say the stakes this year, no pun intended, are really high. So you gotta band together. The humans want to stick together this year, I’ll say that much. She’s going to need to rely on him for sure but I will absolutely say circumstances could throw them together, but it’s not that she’s exactly happy about it in the beginning.”
The couple will at least be referenced during the premiere, but don’t expect any one character saved for Sookie, Bill, and to an extent Eric to get a ton of screen time. The premieres for this show are more about introducing stories than trying to tell them.
