ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6: Nathan Fillion finds the classiest way ever to say ‘meme’

Nathan FillionThere’s something rather fantastic about Nathan Fillion as only he can be a sci-fi icon, and yet still occasionally speak as though he is an American stuck in the world of “Downton Abbey.” Yet, he also still claims that he struggles when it comes to Shakespearean English.

The actor / “Castle” star continued his promotional tour for “Much Ado About Nothing” on Thursday night, as he stopped by “Conan” to talk a little bit about the Joss Whedon movie. Our favorite moment actually really came when there was not much conversation at all. After detailing his struggles with the language, Fillion and Conan O’Brien made a series of faces at each other and Nathan then proclaimed that he had just created a meme. The humorous part of this? That he pronounced it for whatever reason like “mem,” and we really did not mind for a second. As a matter of fact, we may prefer this, since it sounds so much fancier when it rolls off of the tongue.

Even though this is technically Fillion’s summer break from “Castle,” it at times has not really felt like one at all. The actor is still in the process of promoting this film, and he has also worked on some other projects and traveled throughout North America. There are only a few weeks left now until he is forced to go back to work on the ABC series, so let’s hope that he is able to cram in just about everything he wants in a relatively short amount of time.

What do you think: Will you start pronouncing this like “mem” from now on? If you want to also check out some more news featuring the sad omission of “Castle” from Comic-Con, be sure to visit the link here.
