‘The Walking Dead,’ ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ ‘Community’ stars win Guys Choice Awards
While the Kids Choice Awards may be the masters of slime, and the Teen Choice Awards have mastered the art of nominating a million things in hopes of a variety of people showing up to their awards show, the Guys Choice Awards have figured out what their M.O. apparently is: Using double-meanings to create occasionally-clever award names that unfortunately also seem to place appearance on equal level to level of performance, or in some cases completely ignore performance altogether. (Then again, these awards are apparently for people who like to grunt where geeks like us have Reddit to engage in topics that the Guys Choice voters would probably insult on the same level.)
We’re not going to go through all of these awards, but since we are a TV site, we will at least highlight the people from this world who walked away with some sort of trophy (which is a pair of golden antlers).
Funniest M.F. – Jimmy Kimmel
Hot and Funny – Kaley Cuoco, “The Big Bang Theory”
Jean-Claude Gahd Dam – Danai Gurira, “The Walking Dead”
Brotherly Love – Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker, “The Walking Dead”
Most Dangerous Man – Bryan Cranston, “Breaking Bad”
Hottest Al(l)ison – Alison Brie, “Community”
Holy Grail of Hot – Emilia Clarke, “Game of Thrones”
For those of you who are insanely curious, Ben Affleck walked away with the top award on the night, whereas “Man of Steel” was named the most-anticipated movie of the year (which only raises the expectations for this movie one more level).
Now, let’s get back to talking TV that is actually coming up, and not just cheesy awards shows that have awards for how hot you are. If you want to read a little bit more news as to what is coming up on “The Walking Dead,” all you have to do is click here.
