‘American Horror Story: Coven’ spoilers: Sarah Paulson says to expect something new

American Horror StoryMonday night was a big one for Sarah Paulson, as the actress had the opportunity to get a little bit of love at the Critics’ Choice TV Awards, where she emerged victorious for her role in “American Horror Story: Asylum.”  It was an exciting moment for her, but what is almost equally exciting is having the knowledge that there are some big things coming on the anthology series moving forward.

While in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Paulson explained that while there is still quite a bit of ambiguity in what is coming up for her character on “American Horror Story: Coven,” she could see herself becoming one of the “Big Bads” much in the same way that she ended up being a hero on this past season:

“Definitely different. Basically, she’s going to look different, and my relationship to Jessica Lange is going to be quite different this time. At the beginning of last season, no one knew that Lana would be the hero, so it’s possible I could end up the evil one this year. As of right now, there will be some of Lana Winters’ qualities in my character, but I don’t know for sure.”

This new edition in the anthology is really just getting started, with a premiere date likely going to happen at some point in October (at least based on past patterns). Some of the new cast this time around includes Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts, and many others.
