New trailers: ‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 4, ‘Eastbound & Down’ season 4
Sunday ending up marking quite a big night when it comes to HBO. Not only did the pay-cable station send off “Game of Thrones” until next year and air their best episode of “Veep” to date, but they’ve also unleashed a bevy on new trailers upon us to get us excited about what lies ahead. It’s possible that you have already seen the new clips for both “True Blood” season 5 and “The Newsroom” season 2, so with that, we’ll put the focus instead on a pair of shows entering their fourth season.
First of all, let’s start with a show in “Boardwalk Empire” that will be back in season 4. Can Nucky and company restore things back to the show’s heyday? We remember how popular this series was just a matter of two years ago, but for whatever reason this show went into the crapper for season 3. Blame the exit of Michael Pitt? We have no idea.
Meanwhile, we also have a clip from “Eastbound & Down” that really is making its last hurrah. The show is coming to a close this fall after four years on the air, and sadly, the new teaser doesn’t reveal much. Even the clip of Kenny Powers is from an old season, which explains why his hair is a different color than you would at first expect.
We at least hope that producers had time to create a great ending for the Danny McBride show, and we’re sure that they did given the time they were allotted in order to make it.
If you want to read some more news about the sad cancellation of “Eastbound & Down,” all you have to do is head on over to the link here.
