‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7 spoilers: Could Kate Micucci return?

For a few moments on “The Big Bang Theory” near the end of season 6, it was actually starting to look as though we were going to go into the seventh season will all four of the primary characters locked in to some sort of relationship. This would be extremely rare and almost unheard-of in the world of geeks, and maybe it is for that reason that producers ultimately opted to go in a different direction. Or, maybe it’s because Raj simply is not ready to have a woman like Lucy in his life full-time.

Even though we lost the character in the finale, Raj did still gain something else in the ability to finally speak to women while sober. Will this impact his life in a big way? Definitely, but will he actually use this talent to try and get Lucy back? That’s to be seen, but executive producer Steven Molaro tells Vulture that they are keeping their options open in regards to her:

“We’ll see what happens in season seven. But Kate [Micucci] was great. We all love her. I think the character’s really fun. It’s a definite possibility that Raj will try and find her in the future.”

As for two things that you are probably not going to be seeing in the new season, don’t expect to find out much in regards to either Penny’s last name or seeing Howard’s mother in anything more than just a passing glance. (We saw enough of her in the kitchen to really last the rest of the series.)
