‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: Finally, Masuka’s personal life unveiled

If there is an underdeveloped character on “Dexter,” it’s Vince Masuka. The man has been a series regular since season 2, and was around even before that, but for whatever reason, it took this long for us to really get into a position where we had a chance to really get to know something more from him.

Luckily, it does appear as though this is coming in season 8. C.S. Lee opened up about the episodes ahead as a part of a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, and one of the things that he said to look forward to was the opportunity to actually find out a little bit more about where this perverted, often-funny guy at the lab comes from:

“There’s going to be some personal stuff you’ll see from Masuka that you haven’t seen before … It has something to do with his personal life that people have wondered about.”

There are so many things that we’ve wondered about, from his home life to his family to whether or not he ever had a real girlfriend in his life, that it is hard to place just what he is talking about here. Ultimately, we are just happy to see that something is being set up for him that could lead towards a possible endgame. With the final 12 episodes serving as the very end, we hope that this provides an opportunity to really see some sort of send-off for every one of the characters, whether it be Masuka or Batista, Quinn, or even Matthews.
